No problem getting a job, ( for a lot less than a " White " person of course ), as long as he is a Qualified English teacher,  ( might need more than a TESL Cert though ), they, ( plus VN English teachers ),  teach the grammar and vocab, while , ( hopefully ), the " White " person teaches pronouciation.

That's good to hear, maybe that's the issue with my Viet Kieu friends. They speak native English but can't seem to get hired. Yet here I am getting calls to teach all the time even though I have no TESL.

At a school Milky?, that is all changing now, to get work permits, ( to do it legally lol ), you need any sort of Uni Degree, OR 5 yrs teaching experience.  (Moderated: inappropriate comment)
