Hey
The idea of working in Vietnam is really appealing especially after spending 3 months travelling the country earlier this year. However I don't have a teaching qualification and just dont know where to start.
I currently live in the UK and run a Personal training business so I am confident in marketing/sales and anything to do with fitness.

Any advice big or small would be most appreciated  :D

In my opinion, you can apply for sales manager/executives position in big fitness centers in Vietnam. In which your target customers are foreigners (of course because you dont know Vietnamese :)

You can search google for big fitness centers in Vietnam, access their websites and their job vacancies.

Here I found some suitable positions in California Yoga and Fitness Center, which is one of the biggest centers in Vietnam. Try and good luck, Vietnam welcome you :)http://www.vietnamworks.com/viec-lam-ta … 941041-vn/http://www.vietnamworks.com/senior-mana … -502931-jv

P/S: Just kidding, but if you take this job, my suggestion is that you should make friend with "Jonathan.tran" as soon as possible, because he has created a new threat to find a good fitness club in HCMC "Looking for good fitness club & football players (HCMC D1&D3)" He may become your first customer, who knows? :D:D:D

IF you use the search feature in this web site you will find a post that lists all the employment search engines for VietNam.

It's less likely you would be hired by a VN company but your chances with a Foreign invested company are far better. There are increasingly up-scale facilities opening up although a somewhat run-down place is a favourite with VN personalities in HCM.

Travel here on a 3-month tourist visa, then when you get a job the company will help you with a Work Permit. At this point you will need a UK criminal record check (Hampshire Police) (and don't apply until the permit application is prepared) and a resume/CV.

More things that are good to have:  A notarized and authenticated copy of your degree, if you have one, and any other certifications you may have.
