Shipping my Clothes from the U.S. via FedEx/UPS

Hi All, I will finally move to Damman very soon to teach over there. I'm not taking any personal belongings with me other than my clothes and my Kindle.

Instead of carrying everything with me on the plane, I was planning on shipping some of my clothes. I looked into various options (traditional shipping companies, excess baggage, etc.), but for a relatively light-weight box full of clothes I realized that FedEx or UPS would be the most convenient approach for me (not the cheapest, but I'm primarily looking for convenience).

Has anybody shipped personal items from the U.S. via FedEx or UPS? The websites state that the Iqama would be required, which I won't receive until a few weeks after arriving over there. I'll be shipping directly to my school - would I still need the Iqama?

Feedback from anyone with EXPERIENCE would be great! Thanks!

Thanks, but...

(1) USPS was already ruled out due to their weight and size restrictions.
(2) I don't want to shop. I already own my clothes.

Repeat question: Did anyone use (a) FedEx or (b) UPS to ship clothes (they already own) to Saudi Arabia while NOT yet in possession of an Iqama?

Thanks!
