Cost in Puerto Vallerta for single woman

When you only have $2K per month to retire on, it isn't much. But I know there are small, safe places to call home in the PV area. This would be for a long-term rental (3-5 months). I was hoping for something close to the water - maybe the upstairs of a nice family's home? $800/max. Can you give me some ideas or suggestions? Thanks!

Thanks for the tip. I took a look and there isn't much there. But I'm sure things will turn up. I am flexible as to PV, Nuevo Vallarta or Bucerias. Arlene
