learning Urdu as a family @ Home

Post new topic

Walaamaher

Hi..
I want to have a family time connection where we all sit around a teacher and learn... so we thought about Urdu ( Indian :-) ) ..
it seems a good idea to have a new language and also looking to how widle it is used in GCC..
So does any one knows a qualified teacher at home. Who is willing to do this for 6 ?
or it is better to go to center..but it will lose the family bonding part

Lets hear your ideas ..  I am planning this starting the new year..

The word Urdu is derived from the same Turkic word ordu (army) that has given English horde. However, Turkish borrowings in Urdu are minimum. The words that Urdu has borrowed from Turkish and Arabic have been borrowed through Farsi (persian) and hence are a Persianized version of the original word.

This is an excellent idea. Great for family bonding.

I will check with some friends and see if they can recommend a good teacher for you.
