Regsitered Australian Psychologist. Experienced in organisations and delivering school welfare programs. Alcohol & Drug Clinic,Management and general psychological, consulting. Moving to Hoi An June 2015. Should I do TESOL in Melbourne, it's quite expensive, or wait until I arrive and study for it in Hoi An (if possible)) or Ha Noi. Michaelclarebrough@icloud.com

I will also be looking for a house to rent for up to three months initially.

Jaitch

I think your attributes as a registered Australian Psychologist would be more useful in the larger cities in VietNam, possibly in a uni teaching position.

Forget about accommodation until you get here, your choice is often affected by employment and your personal transportation. Public transit, at the moment, is abysmal.

HOI AN is more of a tourist trap than anything else, DA NANG is potentially a better place for employment and the house rents are lower than HA NOI or HCM.

Teacher Mark

You're probably going to need a TESOL, especially if you choose Hanoi.  The schools can be extremely finicky here.

My  advice is to take a course in Vietnam.

Thanks Mark and Jaitch. I'm not particularly interested in working in the psychology field, but never say never. But TESOL I think here in Vietnam I'll pursue when I move in June. I've already have an offer of accomodation in return for voluntary work. Your assistance is certainly appreciated and clearly this is useful forum. Many thanks Michael Clarebrough
