Less people interested in moving to Brazil recently

Has anyone noticed that online there seem's to be much less interest in moving to Brazil at the moment.
It seemed around 2007 - 2011 everyone wanted to move here and the internet was full of articles and bloggs on moving to Brazil.
Now even this forum seems quiet ....my first guess is it's the economic crisis in Brazil and the fact that the USA economy has improved a bit , but is it really that simple?

What are your thoughts

I'm on the way in December! Family has been down there since May. Moving company comes next week. So maybe I'm the only one I guess.

Where are you moving too....is it with a company
Do you speak Portuguese or have any Brazilian family/Spouse etc?

Sure people still come , but it seemed to be a sort of craze from 2007 - 2011

Going to Goiania, wife is Brazilian. Speak very little but I'm improving. Plan on finishing my Masters on-line and go from there. Maybe be a bum for a little bit.

Cool , with a Brazilian wife you should be okay , I think Brazil would be hard if you don't have a solid family connection here...hey been a bum in Brazil is the Only way to Roll! ;)
