Hi all.
WHEN the UK exit the EU (which will happen), will I lose the right to live/work in Spain?
Anyone have any thoughts/ideas/comments/suggestions?
Thanks, N. ;-)

I think it's way too early to speculate what may/may not happen.

Well, a firm declaration that the UK "will" leave the EU is kind of like the Mayans predicting that the world would end on Dec. 21, 2012, and we all know just what happened with that firm declaration.

Everyone that is in the know, and all of the numerous polls that have been taken show that there is really only a one in three chance that it will really happen.

That, combined with the fact that without exception all investment bankers and economists predict that such a move could throw the UK into a recession, and certainly fuel inflation make it seem unlikely.

Analysts at Morgan Stanley are placing a 35pc probability on a "Brexit" - a decision that would expose the country to a "referendum shock" and a "flirt with recession".

Growth would grind to a halt at just 1pc in 2017, inflation would breach its 2pc target, and policymakers would be forced into stimulus measures to revive the economy in the event of a 'Leave' vote.

"We find the costs of UK exit are more certain, and the benefits are more speculative," said Morgan Stanley, in an exhaustive 75-page report modelling the impact of the referendum on the UK's economic prospects.

The day after a Brexit vote would see "a major sell-off in markets potentially triggering official intervention" from the Bank of England to prop up the collapsing pound in a bid to protect financial stability.

Cheers,
James
