Post new topic

Paz

Hi

I have received an offer to teach English in both Dalian and Guangzhou. I am wondering if anyone could give me(us) any advice on which city is better. I am coming with my husband...not looking for a dating scene.:P Still looking for some kind of social scene.

Thanks for your help.

Hi, am living in Dalian for over 5 years. I've been in GZ too, for business. I will recommend Dalian, GZ is more like the business hub of China, and Dalian is a quite city, nice for family life, since you are coming with your family, i will very much recommand Dalian then. If i can give another advice, make sure everything is clear and done the right way with your school. I've had friends that were very much disapointed on issues like visa or accomodation. I'm not saying all schools are like that but make sure you feel right about every thing. Aight, see u soon in Dalian

walk in the air

Hi Paz,

As my opinion, Dalian is better because I like seaport city, more fresh air and less pollution, not very crowded. You do not need to wait when you go out for shopping or for nice supper etc.

The only problem as I feel is that Dalian is a little colder than Guangzhou because it is in the northeast China. It is a north city as we call but very beautiful. I love it.

Hope my words could be helpful for you.
