Volunteer Work

Hey guys, does anyone know any (brazilian) organizations for volunteer work? like public school tutoring, after school programs, orphanages, or anything like that? boys and girls club equivalent? I know no one here is going to know of anything in Indaiatuba, but maybe if you know an organization in SP city maybe they can put me in contact with something in Indaiatuba or Campinas...i have no idea why it's so difficult for me to find something, perhaps my portuguese googling skills need work, but i'm feeling like i need to add a little more worth and value to my weeks. my brazilian husband is no help with this, sadly. volunteer organizations are so big in the US. big cultural difference wouldn't you say? we don't have big slums here like in Rio or SP city, so i can't get out and join an international NGO, but there has to be something....ideas?

Let me ask to my work mates here in São Paulo. Most of them are very into volunteering and I am sure they have tips for you. ;)
