Buy real estate but not live there

Hello together

My name is Olli. I plan to buy a House or Appartment in Mexiko. Location is not defined yet.

In max.15 years i wanna be in Pension. Move and settle down in Mexiko.

I want to buy it now. Because of some Advantages. But i can not live there yet full time. Maximum for 1month per year i can stay there.

So my mexican friends told me its high risky to do it in that way. Because there are people who looking for empty houses for stealing or occupation the property.

I wanna start to buildup a life outside of EU. So it will be to start my retirement with already fully loaded house, bank account and so on.

So what is your opinon about the plan ?
