Thanks so much for the replies to my earlier post. I have submitted an application for a visa extension so that I can continue my holiday as well as building my relationship with my kiwi boyfriend. While I await their reply I am curious as to how and when I can apply for a work visa as well. Being able to work will make my staying so much easier as I still have obligations on my bills back home.

I suggest that you try www.immgration.govt.nz and find out more.

As far as I am aware you cannot change from a holiday visa to a work visa but I may be wrong.
Yo may be able to get a working holiday visa.
