Hello Everyone,
I'm looking to move to Bavaro/Punta Cana area from Ontario Canada. I lived there for three months in a condo. Fell in love with the culture and the people. I travelled to a few places in the Dominican but loved Bavaro.
I'm not looking to hookup. I am aware of "the sanky panky" and the dangers😉
Looking to open a small business and somewhere away from the cold.
I do not speak a lot of Spanish but hoping to learn enough to get me by the time I'm ready to make the move. I feel this area has enough English speaking people it would be an asset for me to live in this area.
I was wondering if anyone could give me information.
1. How much a cedula would cost to get in 2017 and how long is it good for?
2. How much will it cost to get a small business incorporated ? I have looked on the net but couldn't find anything past 2011.
I realize I still have a lot of research to do and want to do everything legal.
I'm not rich by any sense of the word but I have had and ran a successful business here for 20 years.
Any info would be Appreciated.
Thank you for time. ☺
P.s hope I wrote this in the right space.

Welcome and its the right place.

Cedula = residencia There is a whole thread about this. You start in Canada and that will cost 500 to 600 dollars. Then here depending on the lawyer 1200 us to over 2500 us is my guess.

Incorporation - i can help you with this and its about 1500 us..again depends on some factors.

Thank you for your quick reply. I figured about 2500 for cedula. InCorporating thought it might be more. That's good news.:)
