Is it possible to get a Student Visa for my daughter who is 6 yrs old?

Post new topic

MissAyesha

Hello there,

I have 3 kids (13, 10 and 6 years), and all of them have been accepted in an International School in Petaling Jaya. The School says they can provide Student Visa for the 2 elder kids but they cannot provide student Visas for my youngest daughter who is 6 years old. The child has to be at least 7 years old for them to give student Visa.

So, is there any other way I can apply and get a student Visa for my 6 years old?

No, but she can be on a dependent visa under a parent's visa and this can later be endorsed to study (or I think there is a new rule coming into force that it will need to be changed to a Student Pass and SPs will only in future be valid for 1 year for school children).

The schools don't give the visa, immigration does. The school just has to present evidence of enrolment at the school as part of the paperwork to apply for the student visa.
