Is there anyone who knows if there are aircrete suppliers in DR?  Or a house built with aircrete? Also, "Building" should be a category option.  This is a technology that exists in Europe for the last 70 years.

A lot of info on aircrete on the net. Haven't looked for it here. Lighter than Gunite & is not just a coating material. Structurally sound & allows fredom of form.  I used a form of it as roof panels on a UPS distribution center in Boynton beach Florida.  UPS specifies every facet of their buildings and property.   That was many years ago. Hope it is here, it is a great system.

There's a pretty simple aircrete DIY sytem that could be made with things that are there in DR.  The biggest question is what the incentive would be to brick makers and builder.  The aircrete is way lighter and easier to move...but must be placed very exactly.  hmmm... another business option for someone with the know how...

In Europe for 70 years?   That's funny, they've also had a good postal system in Europe for...oh...2000 years, and STILL don't have that in the dr.  So don't hold your breath on anything else.

Only meant that it's not really new...but, could be ideal here with an improved R-factor

You don't need any r-factor unless your are using AC, which is a shame in the tropics.  Better to just get the breezes blowing, instead of being enclosed like northern countries in winter.  Power is also very expensive in the dr, so you just paying a fortune to be cooped up.
