Hello Cejames,

I am new expat here in Brazil, living in Fortaleza, Ceara. Currently finding Work. I will like to know about Teaching English. Your advice and idea will be helpful to me.

Thank You

Cejames

Google ESL online English jobs. Try the websites Daves ESL Cafe,  Teachaway, and Teflsearch is also good. 51talk, VIPKID, Kktalkee, goldenenglish, abcenglish are all great companies. The list is endless and I love the job. Just a heads up.It is smart to go ahead and get a 120hr TEFL certificate. You can go as cheap as groupon or go with a well known online company Itoi  (bridgetefl). It is the 120 hr certificate they are looking for on your resume. Also, learn how to stretch the truth. Have you ever taught ESL. Why sure, think of any time you taught a foreigner how to say a word in English. Bingo, you have experience.Elaborate a little. It is the native tongue they want. They supply the training. Best of luck and message me if you need more.

Hi James,

I have never taught ESL. by the way. How to get 120hr certificate.

Thanks for guidance...

Cejames

Tefl or TESOL is all about the same. It just shows you have had training on how to teach English as a Foreign Language. I am from the southern US and I am consideried a redneck. I dip snuff and sit in trees and shoot Deer haha. If I can do it then anyone can.

Haha...  got it.

Thank you very much once again.

Cejames

You are welcome. The funny thing is I have a BS in engineering from UNC that costs thousands for that piece of paper and it is never mentioned. But when they see that 120hr TEFL certificate that I paid $39 for and took me 5 days then they go ecstatic. Like it is golden lol.  Keep feeding them crumbs and soon they will want to buy the cake haha.best of luck
