How long will my work pass (EP, S-Pass, WP) application take

@KCLHY hi my Spass had been applied on 8.11.2023 again. Luckily my employers didnt find a substitute last month. let’s hope for the best. given that MoM is still taking almost a month to process, looks like by the time we get the result it will be year end already!

Hi everyone, turns out my employer applied for EP (with the option of SP) for me and the reason for rejection is technicality of verification report, so they are going to submit application under s pass (since I do not qualify for ep)

Applied EP on Nov 1st

Still pending as of today (Nov 17).

This is my second EP application.

My first EP application was in June this year, it took only 3 working days to get approval.

Not sure why this time takes so long. I noticed that this EP application is for 5 year duration (under the shortage occupation list). It might be the reason?

Nov 8 spass application done. this is the 3rd attempt.

today employer emailed MoM they said they need more time to proceed.

you need to get all education background declared in your application form verified

@Rajesh Sharma1 whatever the 3rd party vetting company ask you for. I have no clue, as I am not the vetting company. You need to communicate with your employer and/or with the vetting company.

They ask only highest qualification verification report , for my case it is Master degree

example being Masters Education is enough as It cannot be done without bachelors

I work in SG for past 6 years, A company with perma Role has applied  EP on October 28 2023 along with education certificate verufications report,  EP is still pending for four weeks and after followup MOM requested additional company documents. Company has submitted them and told me it may take upto 3 weeks .

I  have another offer from an Mnc on a Contracr and theyre sure to issue approval within 5-10 days.

should i still stick to company A to try my luck or is it time to shift to company B ?

please advice as the process is taking too long. Post september Filing EP’s have this duration ?? I see the compass and mandatory education verification’s are in place to speedup the process though

Got My education documents verified almost took 4 weeks and later Comapany Applied EP

Post 10 days HR received email "Need More time to process the EP Application"

Post 4 weeks MOM notified for company's additional documents.

Company Submitted additional documents to MOM and ETA notified was upto 3 WEEKS.

I am confused now on this state. Since this is a Permanent Position, I was expecting it to be bit faster.

Hello, I checked the status of my Spass application in MOM and it says ”Valid. Your application has been approved. Check your IPA letter for the next steps.” Does that mean that my spass has been approved? Will there be a chance that it will get rejected at this stage?

@Scarlet0103 When its says already approved why would you expect a Rejection State ?

Your validity will be updated once the IPA has been issued.

@mcb345 The user you are referring to has deleted his/her account and will probably not read this any longer.

If an account is deleted, the forum posts remian, but the user name is replaced by "GuestPosterXXXX". That's how you can recognise it!

my spass got rejected 2 days back.

reason:

candidate does not meet spass criteria.

advertisement not done.

the employer has asked me to check how am i not eligible for the spass.

till this point is addressed there would be no point appealing

anyone here who could help out.

I am 31 and the salary i was offered is 5500 per month. I am a Chartered Accountant

"Advertisement not done" is a mistake by the employer. Do they know the process?

they did advertise bfore but i guess in these 3 months of gap they had to advertise again.

however, i am more concerned about the eligibility criteria. why would i not meet the criteria. i have no clue. and the employer is asking me to call MoM and ask

Also I don’t have access to corp pass hence cannot check SAt score!

@Aagya Since a few months, the SAT is only available for employers and employment agents with an EPOnline login. You can ask your employer to enter your data and check the results. They should have done that before applying, and even now this makes more sense than asking the job applicant to call MoM.

I still think your employer does not know how to do these things, so maye it's time to look for a better one?

Additonal Docs (Passport) : 2 Nov 2023

Rejected: 5 Nov 2023

Reason: technicality of verification report, and I dont qualify for EP

At this point, employee reposted job posting on linkedin and my careersfuture, even deactivated my company portal account, but they told me they will appeal for me

Appeal: 17 Nov 2023

Emailed HR asking for update : 30 Nov (told me MoM is waiting for result from vetting agency, gonna take 1-2 weeks)

Accepted: 1 Dec 2023

Could anyone share their experience with verification companies listed on the MOM website (https://www.mom.gov.sg/passes-and-permi … quirements) in terms of their speed in providing responses? I'd like to recommend one to my employer. I hold a master's degree from a reputable university in the UK.The list are Avvanz International Background Checks, Cisive, Dataflow, eeCheck, First Advantage, HireRight,Risk Management Intelligence (RMI), Sterling RISQ, Veremark, Vero Screening

I used avaanz for India and they completed within 2 weeks

Hi my verification done by Sterling, they took one month to complete my documentation. my university is greenwich UK.

they have contacted all my previous employer and cross check based on the information provided to singapore new hiring company.

My wife’s education verification was done by sterling but after waiting for over 2 months but they were not able to do it. Later I paid Avvanz for the same, they were able to do so within 2 weeks .. so personally i dont trust Sterling.

hire right is another one which is good. i heard it from my friends.

But do note, I am talking about verification of Indian University Degree.

Hi everyone wanted to share about my situation and get insights from people on this forum

Company A offered me a job on 31.08.23 and I accepted. They applied for EP on the same day.

6.09.23 got offer from Company B which was much lower that company A. So I did not accept the offer

5.10.23 EP from company A got rejected and they applied for an Spass on the same day.

10.10.23 SPass got rejected stating quota as the reason

8.11.23 they appealed for Spass again stating quota has been met.

27.11.23 rejected stating candidate not meeting criteria and they haven’t advertised enough.

They didn’t communicate with me as that and I lost hope.

I went back tto Company B asking for a job and they gave an offer again. Amount wise much lower than company A again but still better than what they had offered earlier

6.12.23 I accepted offer from company B as I didn’t hear anything from company A

7.12.23 company A comes back stating that they have spoken to enterprise Singapore who I turn has spoken to MoM and they asked to reappeal.

Now I am confused whether I should go with company A or company B

also company A just informed that they were unable to appeal on the system online and they have written back to enterprise Sg for this and have requested them to get it approved from MoM.

now i am so confused, is this even possible? also if they have appeal manually will the company B be able to apply for the pass?

also should i inform company B about the recent happenings
