Hi guys, good day to all :)

I am getting ready to move to Vietnam, I want to live there  hopefully next year.
I just want to know if guys have an idea on how much is gonna be the salary for Customer Service Rep. (specifically for Call Center) , been working as a Customer service and a Technical support for more than 5 years here in  Philippines ,  but i felt so in love with the people, places and food in Vietnam when i stayed there for couple of weeks and I'm so sure that i want to live there,,..hopefully i get help or tips from you guys, about the cost of living and my main concern is how much will be the salary for working as a customer service in Vietnam....thank you . :)

You would need to read, write, speak, and understand Vietnamese in order to work as a Customer Service.

Call Centre is not a popular concept in Vietnam, BTW.

ohh..well , that's not actually a good news for me...but i will still try.. thank you btw, :)

As Ciambella said unless you can speak, read and write Vietnamese, you won't find work.

Philippines is the land of BPO call centers. With your experience, perhaps you can find one that would let you work remotely.

thank you :)

but others said it will be hard for me to find a job, unless i know Vietnamese language.
I guess i have to study more,.. i will do my best.

Vietnamese is not a requirement for many jobs, but it's essential for the one you pick.  You'll have to be fluent in the language, not just "knowing" it, in order to help customers with their inquiries or problems.  They'll not call you up and speak English to you, that's the reason.

Don't want to shatter your dream, but I don't think it'll happen.  Vietnamese is a very difficult language for most learners to reach fluency level.  But then again, I don't know you.  If you're a polyglot, you may get there after a couple years of intensive learning.

You misunderstood me, perhaps you are not familiar with remote jobs.
Google "call center remote jobs". You work for a call center, but you don't work "in" the call center office. You work from home, or another country, whatever, because your work is done on the internet with VOIP telephone tech.

What Gobot tries to say is that you can move to Vietnam and work as a customer service if you can find a job with a foreign company (or a Philippine company, but not a Vietnamese one) that allows you to do the job from the location of your choice.

i actually get what Gobot means,,,its just the term that  was use is different,,..i have a home-based  job as an online teacher for my part-time..

I have a question.  I want to live and work in Vietnam in a year.  Does anyone know if it would be easy to find a sous chef job at a resort. That would pay decently ?
