Birth control in Malta

Hi!

I am a girl from Sweden currently living in Malta. I was wondering what the best way to get birth control in Malta is. I am going to run out of my prescription soon and need to get more. Do you need a prescription or can you just ask for it over the counter at a pharmacy?

Would love to know everyone's experience with this.
