Hello dear members,

I guess this could be an interesting topic. I invite all members in Davao(both locals & expats) to share their daily/weekly/monthly experience about shopping. You may also include some shopping tips/suggestions!

So can you please share with us:

>Where do you usually go for shopping?
(Shopping for basic products like Food, Vegetables, Meat)

>What are your favorite shopping malls/complex or boutique?
(Where you usually go to relax or to buy your clothing stuffs, shoes and other shopping related products!)

Awaiting for your contribution ;)

Best Regards

Abreeza MAll in Davao has just open, one of the biggest mall in Davao. It is located along Jp Laurel Avenue, fronting almost Redemtorist Church. There is one mall being constructed in the same route going north of Davao City (SM). So in JP laurel avenue alone you can find 3 big malls. NCCC is in Matina going south of Davao. Hope you guys can enjoy your stay in the City. Welcome to Davao City

Where can I get nice furniture there are not too expensive? We are moving to Davao in Sept and will be staying for 2 yrs. Saw some pictures of furnished apartments online but the furniture does not look like good quality ones. So am deciding if we should scoot for unfurnished apartment.

honeyclotte

Why would you need a an expensive one, unless you want to take it with you when you get out davao City. There's a lot of furnished apartment. when you get Davao better  stay first in a hotel in a couple of days then look for a real estate agent in mostly malls in Davao they are bunch of them then you can ask for a furnished apartments or a house in a village. They will take you to a location and see for yourself how you guys like the place..GOODLUCK!

Thanks Honeyclotte, I am lookin for inexpensive furniture because we do not intend to bring the furniture with us. Anyways we will check out the places first before deciding

Supermarket Shopping  - Inexpensive supermarket will be NCCC mall, Gaisano Mall. If you want Imported Goods- thats  NCCC mall and SM Mall.  Abreeza is newly opened but its small and  still a bit disorganized.

Wet Market - cleanest place will be Agdao wet market where you can check all the  fresh seafoods, meat and veggies. But BANGKEROHAN Market is where all fresh  goodies are delievered and later on it  gets distributed on other market (not the cleanest place but durable)

Shopping for clothes :

SM Mall - They have complete variety of clothes.
Abreeza - Designer clothes will be there
china town - You get the cheap stuffs - they're good stuff.. (you can haggle as well)

Restaurant -

Posh Place -
Claudes' Café de Ville
Marco Polo Hotel

Home made filipino stuff -
Jack's Ridge
dencios
chippens

Ok that's it!!! :)

need help with directions, let me know but the taxi will be very helpfull and they wont be a rip off like they are in manila ;o
