Non-Monogamous Mark

My girlfriend lives in Lucena, Quezon Province. Like much of the Philippines there is no library there to read good books. If I give her a Kindle can she purchase books to keep and read on it from the Philippines? I know in many countries the books purchased on a Kindle are licensed for a given country and I have heard of people who then moved to another country and they lost all the books purchased from their Kindle.

So if I give my girlfriend a Kindle, will she be able to purchase and download books?

I have been bringing my Kindle back and forth to the Philippines, for many Years.
You just have to tell it where you are living. This is because they are not allowed to sell certain Books in certain Countries. For instance. "Bibles in  Saudi Arabia."

I did find that buying Books with my Old Kindle was easier than my newer, Tablet type, Kindle Fire.
This is because  the Kindle Fire  needs an Internet Connection.
I will say no more.
