Documents needed for relocate belongings to Netherlands

Post new topic

Chooechooe

Hi all,

It is time for me to move to Netherlands. I am going to hire a relocation company to deliver my belongings from my home city, Hong Kong to The Netherlands.

They asked me to prepare some documents for them, 2 of the documents they asked for make me feel strange:
1) copy of buy/rent contracts of my apartment in HK
2) copy of buy/rent contract of my house in The Netherlands

Does anybody know is it normal to ask for these? If yes, why they need these?

Looking forward to your answers.
Thank you.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

It's to get your goods through Dutch customs without being assessed for import duties.

Hope this helps.
