General practitioner by appointment

Post new topic

Hi everyone,

I recently took out private health insurance with Bupa, and I would like to know if there are any private hospitals or clinics that allow you to make an appointment to see a general practitioner (Family doctor).
The reason is that I had to go several times to the public clinics in Malta and I had to wait for hours to be attended. I would like to find a way to schedule my visits to the doctor (since unfortunately are frequent), the current situation is driving me crazy.

Anyway, if you could recommend a clinic that doesn't usually have such high waiting times, even if they don't have an appointment system, I would also highly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Regards

Alicia

There are numerous private clinics in Malta. The yellow pages telephone directory page 249 to page   259 informs you about these medical entrepeneurs. Just take the one that suits you best according to your location. All these places want your best.

most private clinics allow this - some even marginally keep to the schedule.

Go to St. James Hospital. No appointment needed and usually very fast.
