Apply for a temporary residence card (TRC)

Hi,

I need to ask if the TRC can be transferred to a new passport please?

My passport will expire in October, 2019 and I have one month business VN visa. My company offered to help get the TRC

I am confused with two option: :

- Get the TRC with my current passport and then get a new passport and then transfer the TRC to the new passport

Or

- Get a new passport (my 1month business visa will be invalidated) and then start the TRC process

Please advice. I really appreciate your help.

Get the new passport, as your TRC will have your passport number on it and they will need to match.

Hi You. The TRC don't get put in your passport, it 's card. Howerver, you have to wait to get new passport as TRC will only be given for the length of time left in your passport
