Newbie Feedback Wanted

I would have loved to had this forum back then (1970) and actually followed the advice folks gave me.

I can second that! 

I would have forced myself to take Spanish lessons!  It would have helped me a great deal.

I would have brought half of what I packed. I arrived with two suitcases and a set.of golf clubs. Much of this I never used.

I would have purchased the best laptop I could and brought it with me.  Same with cell phone.  Buy the latest most up to date you can and bring it with you.

We would have made the move sooner!   And learned Spanish, or at least got a good base to feel more comfortable from the start.  This forum was, and still is, invaluable to us.

I plan to arrive early June, as the borders open back up.

It won't be early June but I hope it's as soon as possible!

Early July is when the borders officially open unless the President is unable to extend emergency powers through June.  For now, July is when you can come as a regular passenger.

In my opinion,  the last and final CV19 State of Emergency was just granted.  It was only granted because a deal was cut to release some pension fund money in exchange for the State of Emergency being approved again. 

When that State of Emergency expires at the end of June , everything can legally reopen.  That includes the borders and all businesses that want to reopen. We will see if that happens as I expect in just two more weeks.
