Hello All,
I’m new to the forum and I have gained a wealth of knowledge from the many informative posts that I have reviewed thus far. I’m Americano and my wife (who is a Dominican national) are looking to buy a house in Santo Domingo. We are looking for a real estate attorney experienced in working with expats who has a great performance reputation among forum members. The attorney needs to be bi-lingual in English and Spanish. All recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I will gladly share the results of the entire casa purchase experience when completed.

Planner, we contacted the attorney Lishali Baez you recommended however she says she doesn't handle real estate matters. I received a message from someone named "Tomas Ceara" who says that he is an attorney listed in the forum. Do you or others have personal experience with this person? Do you recommend him and are you able to provide any other contacts?

Hi I am sorry to hear this about Lishali. Well it's good to know!

Tomas appears to be smart and professional! He has been participating in the forums for some time. I do not have personal experience with him and I have never heard anything bad about him! His English is good! I believe he was at least partially educated in the USA so that would be an asset in terms of working with expats!
