Hi all, just wondering what the British population of Foz is, if any haha.

Texanbrazil

I have only met one from the UK 6 years ago and never seen him since.
Now we have a friend working in London and travels here at least every quarter to be with his wife and family.
To be honest all that do speak English learned here or in the US and returned.

English Penguin

Ah interesting. How long have you lived in Foz if you don't mind me asking? I'm  yet to come across anyone from the UK or US for that matter other than tourists when people were still travelling of course. I just had the thought today about how many people are actually here. If you also don't mind me asking, how long did it take you to learn the language and did you use a particular method?

Texanbrazil

Still learning the language!!!!!!! Started with a tutor in 2016. Now best friends and great to have conversations in English.
Had office in BR, then moved in 2013
Duolingo is a good basic start and free.

Ah, I've been thinking of going the tutor or school route myself but I should be taking advantage of the fact my wife is Brazilian. I've been using Duolingo for a while now too, very useful. The past year has made any outside contact with Brazilians very limited so I don't get a chance to practice much. Are you self employed or work for a company?

Texanbrazil

Total opposite here all Brazilians, very few ingles!

Hey, where about do you live in Foz if you don't mind me asking? My wife and I are planning on building/buying a place very soon but I am very fond of living in Jardim Panorama for the last 14 months but damn are land prices a bit steep here! Same goes for Vila A too. Where have you found to be decent parts of the city to be in?
