State of teaching in Vietnam right now

Hey guys. I'm new to the Vietnam forum. Previously, I lived and worked as an English teacher from 2015-2016. Back then it was easy to get into the country, and it was possible to work on a travel visa and do visa runs every three months. Now it seems more difficult as it seems you need a work visa and a job lined up before you can even get in the country, if that's even possible.

Can anyone tell me if it's possible right now to get a teaching job now if you're not already in the country? What if you want to change jobs? Do you need to get another work visa or how does that work.

Also, I'm conducting a survey for personal use to help me decide which country I want to live and work in. For those of you teaching in Vietnam or who've taught in Vietnam, I would very much appreciate your input.
