I have always hired gardening tools, but I have made my mind up to buy some...I am looking for a mower, a Strimmer and a hedge trimmer. Can we find this sort of thing on here?

Plenty of large stores in France to buy such things although one might not find one in a small village. I don't know the area around Perpignan, where your profile says you live but I know Dordogne and they are nowhere near each other - so why post something under such a heading?

Have you tried the local brocantes or the EX Pat associations in you area.
Many people are going back to the UK and are selling off stuff they don’t want to take back
