International health Insurance for D7 visa

Hello    have applied for D7 visa  and my  interview  is in May.  We live in Toronto Canada


My age is 72 my wife 70


Can  anyone suggest  a Insurance company  . I think  the embassy needs to see  at least 6months  coverage

You will need a travel insurance with repatriation coverage. I recommend https://www.axa-schengen.com/en.

At those ages, you can only get health insurance in Portugal, through MGEN, I think.


Unless you have a health insurance with an international company accepted in Portugal, with the health coverages @Nia mentions here.

@JohnnyPT this is for the visa submission. For that, he will need travel insurance. Once in Portugal he will need private health insurance. Those are two different things/ processes.
