Background:

My husband and I are Indonesians, who have gotten married in SG in Apr 2023.

  • He has lived here since Jan 2018, applied for PR as holder of EP in Jun 2022, and gotten approval in May 2023.
  • I lived in SG from 2010-2015 as a student, came back for work in Feb 2021, applied for PR as holder of EP in Mar 2022, rejected in Aug 2022, appealed in Oct 2022, rejected again in Feb 2023.

I am planning to try applying for PR again by end of 2023.

Just wondering, which route will be more beneficial for me: apply as a spouse of PR or as a holder of EP?

Thanks for your input in advance!

There is no need to decide whether to "apply as a spouse of PR or as a holder of EP" - ICA will take into consideration all aspects of your personal situation in any case!

No difference but definitely mention you're a spouse of a PR in your personal cover letter. My application took 9 months... got it in my first try and was pretty straightforward. Proving integration is the most important thing.

Essential docs to include:Cover letter - my background, why Singapore and how I can contribute and integrate to society2 letters of recommendation from Singapore citizens - how we know each other, why I'll be good for the countryResume - my professional qualifications and academic background
