Residency affected by Covid

Hi there!

Between 2016-2018 I lived in New Zealand, I had become a resident and decided to return back to England to visit family and friends. During this time, the world went into lockdown due to Covid-19. I was unable to return due to this, while trying to return I lost a family member to Covid. Everyone has experiences hardship due to this virus but in the time I was unable to return, my residency expired. I want nothing more to resume my residency but I’m unsure if this is possible.

I’m writing to ask if there’s any information or help I can receive in order to get back on track with the progress I really don’t want to lose, is there any advice anyone may be able to give on possible restoring my residency?
