Hi, I'm J. Entered SG on Nov 26. Declared on SG arrival card to leave on Nov 29. Exited SG to JB on Dec 25. I was interrogated for 2 hours. I said I came here to visit tour. Then I was corner and said to IO that I worked for 2 weeks. After my first week at work my employer just keyed in my s pass. Caught me with a bogus ticket but I told them I was scammed and I didn't know anything about them. Can I possibly go back to SG when my IPA is approved? What would happen? Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Did Immigration officer  tell anything during that interrogation ?

What is final outcome after the interrogation ?

did your company applied your pass before this incident ?

Kilimanjaro96

They just told me that it could affect my future travels to SG. They never handed me anything or paper or let me sign. Is that a good thing? Company applied it before the incident.

You better write a ICA once you have received your IPA before you come to Singapore again.

since you worked Singapore with out valid pass, which is Immigration offence which definitely cause problems to your future visit . you cannot come unless you solve the issues with ICA .

I believe You need to go through ICA appeal via local sponsor in this case your company has to do that

wait for the IPA approval

How can I know if I have an offence? I can inform them that I will be coming to Singapore? Or can try to register in SG Arrival Card on there I can know if I'm eligible to come right? Thank you very much.

Wait for the IPA approval ,after that sent an email to ICA explaining your case asking for their approval / feedback

@Kilimanjaro96 Illegal work is a very serious matter in Singapore. You will not receive a work pass in the near and medium future. My advice is: Forget about working in Singapore and look for jobs in other countries instead!

Also, if you want to visit Singapore, contact ICA first and seek their approval - otherwise you will be denied entry at the border!

I facing the same issue since 2014 which this .. company didn't apply work permit for me and I was blurred work with them for last 2 week end up I caught with ICA now 2024 already still cannot go in to Singapore even I explain to them what actually happened is not my mistake it's the boss mistake... keep trying to appeal but this appeal only can submit by local Singaporean or PR... very difficult to solve this kind of issues.

@beppi

What if  just try to entry again after get denied not immediately but after years may after 10 yrs? Is that offence too? Just to see whether can entry again or not...

@lynaasree73 Illegal work (without work pass) is a VERY serious offense in Singapore. You are probably banned for life because of this. (It does not help to say that it was the employer's fault - YOU worked although you knew you had no permit!)

The ONLY way to resolve it is contacting MoM and/or ICA, following their advice and getting their approval before any trip. If they say you need a local sponsor, then you should do that. If you have none, you cannot visit Singapore.

Please keep in mind that there are many other countries and life is possible without the Little Red Dot!

@beppi yes ICA need a sponsor to appeal of reentry But it's not easy to get a sponsor in Singapore. it's real tough 😞.Any way I'm trying my best to get a sponsor as well but it's not work's ...

beppi

@lynaasree73 A sponsor is legally responsible for everything you do in Singapore, including illegal acts, prison or deportation. Nobody other than a relative or very close friend would accept that risk for you. If you have not such close and trusting person, you will not find a sponsor.

As I said, in that case better focus your life on other countries!
