Brexit WA carte de séjour - absence

Post new topic

Ellie48

Hi all,

I am British and currently have an Article 50 (Brexit) Carte de Séjour of 5 years as I was working in Paris for 2.5 years, however have been back in the UK since April 2023. I am thinking of moving back to Paris to get another job there. I have heard that absences this long could pose problems when it comes to renewal, however what I am really concerned with is whether or not I’d be refused at passport control with my current CdS which is technically still valid until the end of 2026.

Thank you in advance for your time and wisdom!

They have started to scan the Article 50 Cards now, so it could cause a problem because I think you are only allowed 6 months out of the country with a 5 year card.
