I recently vacationed in Chiang Mai and loved it. Met some wonderful people there. Besides meeting a girl there, I also met the owner Richard and his wife Im of Thai European Food and Bar. The food was Great with good prices, staff was friendly. Richard and Im offered some great insight in regards to Chiang Mai and possibly making a move there in the future. They are located in the Anusarn Market, give them a visit and tell them Mark the drummer said hello!
Another friend I made there is a man named Theere Daradad. He is an attorney that specializes in immigration and visas. He was reffered to me by Richard and was very helpful.
I hope this can help someone somehow as Iam sure there are quite a few lawyers out there. The real surprise was how he helped me out in a personal matter after I had already left. This was after meeting me only once. In my book he is a good man and although lawyers generally are not trusted, I trust the man.
Please don't get me wrong, this is not a sales pitch for either person,it's just that being from Los Angeles, meeting strangers that are that generous without really knowing me is quite a rarity for me.
I am planning on returning there in late October to see if there is a possible future with this girl I met previously. If things seem like they will work out, Ifeel lucky that I have somewhere to go for advice and assistance.
Well I rambled here enough, so HELLO to all there in Chiang Mai and maybe we may run in to each other sometime.

Take care,Mark-diffdrmmr
