Hi,
We're currently living in US but planning a vacation to Ecuador and possible retirement in Cuenca. Any help on health care, pharmacy availability, laws, ect would be appreciated.

Health care is excellent here in Cuenca. We have numerous modern hospitals and clinics and well-trained physicians. Drugs are usually OTC and much cheaper than in the US.

Thank you. I've found information on the health care system but couldn't find much on pharmacy/medications. We are hoping to make Cuenca our home but both have conditions that will cont. to require medications.
