Hi, I resigned last March, one company applied spass for me... The company is newly built... My application was rejected... They stated that the reason is that the company haven't finish the papers for the CPF board yet... They reappeal last March 13... But until now no result... The company owner emailed the mom for faster result... but the mom said still under review... it's almost 7 weeks already... Why does it took so long... and any do you have any idea if the chances of it being approved is quite high? I can only stay until 10th of may at SG. Is there any way I can extend my stay?

David

Hi everyone,

I am a Singaporean and knows that some foreign friends of my waited for almost 2 months to get their Spass. This is due to MOM new office which they just relocate to Balaster side. Another reason is they have a new system where your Spass application is being pass from one department to another and also there is alot of new stuff who are still learning to process documents..

Apart from this there is also some new rules to follow... This is Singapore..always trying out new things to see improvement but something it does not work and they will change and change until its works..Good Luck to all.

Applications that obviously have no merit (e.g. missing education, or quota, or salary too low) are rejected very quickly, sometimes within minutes.
Taking longer means MoM has to check and/or verify something. That can take between days and months - there is no rule!
