Dan San

Hello There.

As I know how hard it is to get along and connected to a new city specially if you are in a different country I wouldn't mind on help foreign people explore the city of Recife.

Let me know if you are moving or living in town. I might be able to help you somehow !!
cheers

Hi Dan,

Where in Recife do you live? I am thinking about going there late November or early December for my spouses Visa interview at the US Consulate.

Hey Matt,

I live on the North side of town in a neighborhood called Casa Forte. The American consulate its  located near downtown and it is 15 min driving with no traffic from my house.

Hi Dan!

I have just recently moved to Brazil from DUBAI with my wife who is from Recife... Is there a demand for Englsh tutors or House music DJ's in the city?

Regards,

Ali

Hello Dan,

On behalf of everybody at Expat-blog, welcome on board.

It is my extreme pleasure to welcome a fellow Canuck both to the blog and to Brazil. Especially somebody almost as tall as the CN Tower! LOL  That's one great photo by the way.

I was born and raised in Hamilton, ON and also lived in Vancouver , BC for 28 years before coming to Brazil almost 12 years ago now. If there is anything you need in the way of information or advice don't hesitate to PM me. That's what I'm here for.

I'm sure you'll make lots of new friends here.

Hi there....are there any hashers in the Recife area?

Dan San

u mean the meat?

gjl2611

No, I mean as in a social walking/running club.  .....the motto for hash as I know it is:  "Drinkers with a running problem".  Usually meet at a pre-arranged location.  A "hare" marks the run beforehand, usually using chalk, and the hashers then figure out the trail.  It takes about half an hour to an hour, then all meet back at the starting point which could be a bar and those who will, stay and socialise for a bit.

Dan San

Not that I know about it.
although I am meeting Ali from Dubai tomorrow night if you fancy it.

We will be going to a very popular Pub in Boa Viagem... For details please contact Dan (Cell # listed above) or Ali (Cell # 9551.9993)

Hi Dan! That's a very interesting job: helping foreing people in Recife. Let me introduce myself. My name is Márcia. I'm Brazilian and I live in Recife with my husband Andy, who is American. He became an English teacher since he came to live in Brazil (around 5 years ago). He works at Inglês.comAmericano, a new English course in the north part of Recife. We wonder if you've heard about other Americans in Recife who would like to be an English teacher too. Let me know if you do, okay? Cheers

I've made it down to Recife and may be interested in meeting up some time (depends on when :) ).

I hope everyone is doing well!

gjl2611

Hi Marcia...what area is the school in?...think I found it on the facebook page....Casa Forte?

invitada145

Hi there! Exactily! It's in a building called Empresarial Centrum. It's almost in front of Burguer King in Casa Forte. And yes, we are on Facebook! We'd love to meet new teachers, even though with no experience. Hope to hear from you soon... Márcia.
