Hi Beppi,

I am a specialist in IT (Programmer Analyst) and got a job in Singapore. I have no degree qualification but I am expert and experienced in the field for about 15 years. I only have a professional certification in programming language I am specialised.
I was surprised when my SPASS application got rejected. Even more surprised, today I just got information from my employer that appeal for the SPASS also rejected, Reason is "Your candidate is not eligible for a work visa. Please look for another candidate"
I did the SAT, and said that I am qualified for every details Keyed in. Question is,
1. what is the exact reason why i am rejected?
2. Is there any chance to try for another SPASS application

Thanks in Advance,

beppi

The reason for rejection is that you don't have a university degree and are too senior for an S-Pass.
You could get an EP without university degree if your salary is above average (minimum S$8000-10000/month), but other than that you have no chance. Sorry!

thanks for your quick respond. I guess too that is the salary problem.

With 15 years experience, you should earn in that range - otherwise you'd sell yourself below value (and that, too, is reason for MoM to reject your application).

I understand, honestly my salary is 5500 which is below the range you mentioned. It might be the problem. Well, maybe it's not my time, although I already sign the contract. This time i have to give up with this government barrier.
