Oath Ceremony for simplified naturalization

Hello,

My application has been approved and I was invited to take the oath October 2014. I was not able to get to New York to attend the ceremony. I understand I have 1 year to to take the oath. Anyone else waiting to take the oath in New York. Or has anyone taken it during the visits the consulate takes to places like Cleveland or Detroit?
