Moving to Belgium

Post new topic

We are a USA/UK couple with two young children and a nanny moving to Brussels this week. This is our 5th international move for work in the last 10 years. I can't see doing this without a relocation expert. The process for finding and renting a home, getting registered, opening a local current account, cars, licenses, insurance, etc etc is onerous. The highlight so far has been the local postman inviting himself into the house at ten in the morning to "help unpack" which really meant poking around boxes and drinking some cocktails. Funny guy, but anticipate mail issues going forward.

haha :) I would never let a stranger - postman or not invite himself into my house in a new country.

My husband has just finished doing all the things you mentioned above, it's really not that tough without a relocation expert either.

Hope you enjoy your stay!
