Considering a referendum hasn't even been scheduled, it's hard to speculate what may or may not happen.

I think there will be no problem if the UK does leave the EU for those that have lived as an Expat for many years. Maybe some kind of special Visa will be made?

In my humble opinion, I think UK expats in some countries are likely to have problems.
As in many divorces, I can see the dumped partner getting angry.
The thousand year mess that has been the relationship between England and France suggests the two might well stroppy, creating issues for UK expats in Europe.

However, this is a long way down the road and the 'great and good' (people with fat sacks of cash and the political clout that cash brings) want  the UK to stay in the EU.

Even if the referendum is next year, it will take years for the paperwork to be sorted. I am sure pensioners will not be kicked out as, they spend money..... But I think it's 50/50 at the moment.
