VEC holders, is there a new regulation... 6 month stay at a time?

Post new topic

VEC holders,

Today I arrived back from a 2 day trip and was surprised to see that they stamped "permitted to remain until 10/06/2016".

I asked the immigration guy if he's sure, he just asked why I am asking. I showed him that it actually states 90 days in the VEC but he just said "chac kg sao"...

It's less than a month ago when I had my last entry stamp made and that one was still as usual 90 days.

Anyone with VEC heard about this or knows about any changes? And if anyone is going to be entering VN please check the dates and let me/us know if you also got 6 month.

Thanks but that thread is about US citizens and about visa, I am asking/talking Visa Exception Certificate (VEC) matters.

Whatever I experienced today was either a mistake by immigration or then things have changed within less than the last 25 days, and I am just talking about VEC as many things are on the change.

Btw, regarding changes... the exit/departure side of immigration has also just been renewed, I think it's great (was about time). They have multiple x-ray lines before immigration and immigration lines were moving quick compared to what used to be. Best is, after immigration, no more second x-ray lines.

Now I'm wondering what they are building behind the white wood wall when you enter immigration into country...

But anyway, back to VEC, anyone else get 6 month stamped?
