Hi,
Wondering if anyone had similar situation . I got an offer to join Bank in month of August 2016. However EP got rejected so couldn't join.
I am holding Dependent Pass expiring May 2017.
Recently my husband applied for extension . His EP got approved and my kid DP also approved however my DP extension got rejected . I don't know the reason .

Anyone faced this problem ?

Appreciate all inputs .

Thanks !

Surprised to hear your case. This could be one such instance where MoM rejected the extension of someone's DP but accepted her children's. You may appeal with valid points as you need to be with your family here. If the result didn't change the outcome then apply for LTP given the reasons at ICA. Good luck.

Thanks for your response. MOM has given the reason "EP has been rejected so based on that they didnt approve my DP extension" . surprised with MOM answer. i have filed appeal 2nd time. Lets see.

This is either a mistake (and then easily corrected by appeal) or the start of a new development where those who try to work on DP are penalized. If you find out which it is, please come back here and tell us!

Thanks for your response. i have recived the reason from MOM .seems they didnt approve beacuse my EP has been rejected earlier.however filed appeal.

Hi,
My DP extension has been pending for over three months now. The status says pending due to vetting. My husband's EP and kid's DP meanwhile got extended. Did you get any response to your appeal? Hope things work out for you. It's been really stressful not knowing what's happening.

Hi, I have filed appeal last week and the time line to get result is min 3 weeks.. waiting for the output. Let's see.
I think you can follow up with your husband employer to find the status from MOM. They can connect with MOM and findout.

We've been doing that. Two weeks back the officer at MOM said educational vetting has been completed and it's with a national agency in Singapore. I was working on an LOC until my DP expired in Jan. So I assume the vetting could be because of that. My husband's office has been getting me one month extension to stay here from Jan. But from what I understand it cannot be more than 90 days.

Hi purplesheep. Did u get a result on your DP extension? Do u mind sharing how long it took and what was the outcome? Thx!

Hi titus30
Approved after 9 long months. They gave us no reason whenever we tried to follow up. I guess all you can do is wait and if you have all your documents/affairs in order here and back home it will get approved. I also got my new LOC approved after that. So if your family is in the same boat, just wait it out if you can. I know how stressful it is and I hope you get some good news soon.

Thank u so much for replying. Wow...9 months! Yes, that must have been very stressful. But glad that it at least got approved. We are waiting for 4+ months now. Hope for positive outcome also. Let’s see how long they will take...
