Hello all,

just wondering if anyone has had experiences whereby their EP has been rejected because of JOB posting issue, I am already an EP Holder in singapore

In My case the company didnt mention the salary range in the job posting and now I have to wait 2 weeks and they will appeal which will take again atleast 3 weeks

I am really confused here should I wait for the result after they appeal or look for other opportunities?

Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks

Hi Hriday9 , I had the same issue and it was approved after re-posting, waiting for 14 days then appealing (This is if the salary range is the only issue).
Good Luck :)

The issue here is the requirement to have a job posted on the (locals only) jobs bank for two weeks. A foreigner can only be hired iif that is done without any suitable candidate applying. Apparently, your employer forgot about that and thus your EP was rejected. After posting the job there (and finding no local to hire), they can apply for your EP again.

Thanks for your response

is it possible to call MOM and ask for the reason if its the same as company said?

I tried calling already but couldn't get through IVR

It is possible to call MoM, but in most cases you won't get any useful answer. Better let the company (who applied for your EP) contact them!

According to company MOM suggested them that they can apply for S pass today and no need to wait for 2 weeks for the job post in jobs bank

They also mentioned that they will convert S  pass to EP once I joined and

now my concern is can I have EP application from other company while S pass is in pending progress?

beppi

You can only have one work pass application ongoing at any one time.

My issue was,

-EP applied and got rejected in 10 days with error advisory no job advertisement in jobs bank.
-The HR appealed with the invalid JobId(Advertisement expired in jobs bank) and then after 3 weeks appeal also rejected.
-The HR post a new job advertisement and wait for 14 days and then re-appealed so i am waiting for the result.

Please suggest me, My EP gets approve this time ?

Thanks in advance.

No one can say whether it will approve or not. But the rejection reason was not due to posting in job bank alone, rather was due to foreign employee hiring (or else your appeal could have successful). In the second case, your employer did the first thing right by posting in job bank but MoM can see in their system that they hired the same candidate whom they had rejected as well as the appeal.

Unless until your employer present a valid reason why they hired a foreigner (you again) and how many locals were interviewed then their skills were not matched which you have. Good luck.

Thanks for your response.

Did you mean foreign employee hiring which is relate to quota?  Because HR says they have Quota and everything.

Is there any chances for approval ?

surya2k

Not quota issue (quota issue only in the case for S pass application). Unless the employer got a red flag by MoM then in that situation MoM asks employer to hire two locals or so before hiring a foreigner (this ratio can vary).

But, in your case I’m trying to make you understand that it’s a frequent question to the employer by MoM that show the proof taking interviews of local candidates and further provide evidence that they don’t have specific skills which is why the employer hired a foreigner. The chances of your pass approval depends on this piece of rationale (if MoM ask). Good luck

Hi Sey08 ,

Does your EP get approved after ur company appeal ? can we check the status after appeal ? even i am also facing the same issue of EP rejection because they applied before advertisement of job expire before 14 days in jobs bank.

surya2k

Famous85, I hide your duplicate post which was posted in a separate thread. You may continue discussing the same query in this thread.

Please see my above reply to understand the chances of pass approval, depends upon a valid rationale submitted by the employer. Good luck

Hi, does anyone know by any chance we could see how many vacancies that a company posted on Jobsbank?

If they don’t mention in their job ad, you should consider its a single position which they are recruiting for.

butternut_07

Thanks Surya!

As I can'r log in via SingPass, by any chance can I get to see if the number of vacancies posted just by browsing the website? Coz I saw non of the company indicate the number of vacancy.
Thanks!

beppi

If you open a job description in the jobs bank, there is an introduction of the company in the right column. Underneath, you find a button "other jobs from this employer". Click on it and you'll see all vacancies this company is currently advertising.
You do not need a login to see the jobs (but you cannot apply without a login).

Thank you Beppi!
I clicked and it came out the advertisement for others position, one each; does that means only 1 opening for each position?

We have already told you that if it didn’t say multiple positions or exact numbers, you should assume that there is only one position opened.
