I am planning to move to Malaysia next month, I would like to know if it is good and economical to bring along with me Indian mixer grinder , rice cooker and cooking utensils from India , if yes then by which mode , how to get the packaging, how to send them.

If the grinder is electric there are now some requirements about getting a licence/clearance because of safety concerns. http://www.crownline.com.my/images/cust … laysia.pdf

Rice cookers are readily available. Utensils too. But its nice to have familiar items.

You have helped me a lot , your inputs have helped me a lot ,

Just in case if I plan to bring in my kitchen items should it be by air cargo or should I check in it as excess baggage which one cost more , anyone you know who could guide me

You can get everything here. Better no need to bring from India. If you visit brickfields (little India), you can get all kind of shops.

Thank you for the reply

It’s been more than 8 months since I am in Malaysia and now I am well aware of Indian items.

That post was quiet long back .

Thanks
