Hi everyone!

I'm gonna start my internship in few months in Singapore but I was wonderig if I could use a tourist visa ( i'm french so I can stay 1 month there as a tourist) after my WHP is expired? Cause te WHP last 6 months and my internship aswell and it will be complicated to leave Singapore the last day of my intership :/ I don't relly know what to do.

Cheers,

For "normal" work passes, a one months (non-renewable) SVP is automatically issued when the employments ends.
Since the WHP is rare, I don't know if the same applies to it Ask the relevant authorities!
If not, you probably cannot stay any longer.
Exiting the country and coming back after a short time is not an option in Singapore!

Thank you very much for you fast reply! I will try to send an email to the MOM but they never answer to my questions, they just paste a random answer. If i get an answer I will keep you inform!

Cheers,

Julie

MoM does not send "random answers". They send the portion of (pre-formulated) texts that comes closest to your question. And you have to read them very carefully (same as buerocrat speak all over the world)
Thus either you did not explain yourself very much, or you did not understand their reply - or there exists no clear answer.

Hi,

I am from Germany and I am in the same situation. Did you find out if you can extend the WHP by a tourist visa?

Thanks a lot
