Query regarding travel insurance

Hi all,
Greetings of the day.

I am planning to relocate to Belgium on a dependent visa as my wife is already working there.
I have already started my visa process. Just wanted to know one thing. Can I take travel insurance on tourist visa category for 6 months. As the person from insurance company said I can't take policy on resident visa or working visa category because I don't have a job in Belgium yet.

Can you please clarify my doubt. It will be a great help.

Thank you.

Regards
Sopan

Hi Sopan,

In fact, it is better for you to take a travel insurance on the beginning. And after if your wife is officially working in Belgium, she will had you on her health insurance if she use the belgian system.

Here is the Internet address of the travel insurance that I advise regularly because it is 100% compliant with European requirements. https://www.axa-schengen.com/en
