Need to Leave Once After Getting TRC?

Hello,

Hoping to hear from someone that's done this already.

I entered Vietnam with a TT spousal visa, obtained a 5 year VEC, then obtained a 3 year spousal TRC, in that order, all in HCMC.

The 180 day per entry limit on my VEC stamp is coming due soon.

I haven't used my TRC yet and there are no passport stamps from it, just the plastic ID card.

Should I leave before the 180 day VEC stamp expires and come back using the TRC to get a new stamp?

Thank you

If you have a TRC you dont have to leave for 3 years. You can come and go as you like in those three years. Just show your TRC when you enter and exit, no 6 month stamp required.

With TRC, immigration won't even look at the VEC sticker anymore, just the TRC and your last entry stamp. Don't forget to carry the TRC card with your passport!
