Hi All,

I am a ICA issued LTVP Holder and an LOC holder issued by MoM. I am applying for entry approval yesterday and still waiting for its approval. Anyone has been approved already? How long does it take. Because from MoM it is said that it would take only 1 day to be approved.

You are the first one posting on this forum about applying for the new entry approval. So please come back and post your findings and experience here, for the benefit of others.
From what I heard, approval is only given to those working in essential services (e.g. medical or urgent supplies). Hopefully your job is in this field!

Hi Beppi,

Below are my timeline for my entry approval:

5 April 2020 = Applied to ICA
22 April 2020 =  Folow up to ICA, 30 mins later I get the Approval via E-mail.

I don't think my job is consider as essential service, it is in financial audit field.

Hi, do you mind sharing what reason u used ??

Jmc123

Thanks for sharing your experience.
My family was supposed to move when all this happened and we are trying to figure out what are chances of entering the country are. My husband also isn’t in an “essential service” so good to know!

Hi guys,

My reason is to gather with my wife in Singapore and for work after the CB is lifted. Good luck on applying. Share the result as well.

May i know how many times did you apply for entry  approval?  Are you the one who apply or your employer?

Jmc123

My husband had IPA, but then two weeks after we submitted our DP applications, his employer told us MOM had rejected them because it wasn’t processing any more applications until the restrictions were lifted. We will have to reapply.
I know this isn’t Directly related to entry approval, but I think it points to reluctance to let people in the country right now.

Hi,

May I clarify whether your husband occupation is in the "essential sector"?

I have an EP IPA as well and working in an "essential sector". I have been applying regularly from end of Mar until mid Apr unsuccesfully.
Given that the number of cases has been declining lately I asked my employer to apply for another Entry Approval but been told that govt is not pproving any entries by foreigners until the end of the circuit breaker. Mind you that I am not 100% of the veracity of that info because I have not been told by HR even after my unsuccesful application in mid Apr of such broad restriction from govt.

FYI, I have heard from a friend working in the public sector privy to Entry Approval procedures that C-suite applicants are prioritised

@sheila1972, Since I am a LTVP issued by ICA and LoC issued by MoM, I need to apply via ICA not MoM. When I try to ask to ICA and MOM on the end of April, they both said that I need both approval from ICA and MoM.  But then, I ask again on the mid of April and they both has mixed answer even from the same ministry. I ask 2 times via phone to ICA and the 1st answer I got is that I not need any approval from MoM just ICA is enough, however, the 2nd answer they gave me is that I need both ICA and MOM to approved my entry. LOL !!

And then I ask MoM 3 times, 1 via Phone and 2 from MoM website (Live chat). They also gave me mixed answer just like ICA, but this time I screenshot all f my live chat with MoM for proof if my entry is being denied in the Changi. So I just report this mix answer once again to ICA and told them that  I got mixed answer from ICA and MoM, then the ICA officer told me that I just need ICA approval, since approval from 2 ministry is not weird and redundant.

I only applied once.

Hi,

What are the possible reasons I can use to obtain entry approval from ICA to complete my Pr formalities during CB period?

beppi

Ask ICA, but I am afraid no entry is possible for such formalities right now.

Hi- any recent experiences? I am a PR and I applied for entry permission for my father who has a LTVP. Its been more than 10 days. Any tips on what I can do? Cannot call ICA hotline because its always busy. Thanks for sharing.

surya2k

ICA is not approving people for visiting purposes from many countries including India. It’s not like ICA is not approving at all but yes, it does approve case by case basis with strong rationale. People with IPA and people with employment passes are stuck in many countries including in India so your father’s case doesn’t look good to get approval unless there is a valid and strong reason why he wants to travel here. Any medication or treatment in Singapore hospital could be a case to consider. Good luck

Thanks. I will post here if I hear back from ICA. For now, I saw a generic message that ICA takes 10 working days to respond but some cases might take longer.
